Parents didn't help me. They were poor - relatively speaking.

I managed my way through undergrad then 4 yrs of grad school. Minimal student loans and always had some kind of work on the side going on.

Was married with kids for 6 of those eight years.

All five of our kids are college grads, two of them with advanced degrees. We helped them out when they asked, but that wasn't very often. They worked most of the time they were in school and always had summer jobs.
