The current generation needs to move to where housing is affordable.

There are plenty of places in the US where you can buy a home on 50k/year salary and not be house poor.

I know many grew up in Orange County, the Bay Area, Salt Lake, Denver, etc. and want to raise a family there as well, but it's just not economically feasible for most young couples.
