If the B1G Wants to create somewhat of a western pod and create more windows for game times on television, they could certainly look at Salt Lake City. There’s a reason pro teams are looking here.

Perhaps the travel of Oregon and Washington and the two LA teams all the way across the country for so many games becomes less desirable.

They might also be looking for a partner who plays by their rules and fits with them personality wise and culture wise.

I’m not saying Utah is getting invited, but I think there are plenty of factors in Play that could change in the coming years.

If Utah rolls into the big 12 and wins the title this year and goes to the playoff and puts themselves further on the map, they can continue to grow their national brand and make themselves more appealing. Just keep winning and keep checking the boxes and see what happens.
