Cut a loaf of French bread in half and add spaghetti sauce, cheese, and pepperoni and wrap the whole thing in tin foil. Put in on a bed of coals and let it cook until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted. It tastes great after a long hike on the first day.
Bear creek soup mix, ramen, and instant mashed potatoes are some other ideas not mentioned.
But I agree with what others said to have everyone carry their own food and cook separately. For a big group it’s way easier.
