My opinion: which may have been expressed already...
I think it's a simple case of economics. I believe that BYU knows there is more demand for seats than there was before. Raise prices and increase seats to those willing to pay more. In one sense, it really is act like the big boys, which means money rules the day.
I don't like it either. My CC annual dues double, and I'm on the fence about renewing. I probably will, but it is still tough to swallow. My wife thinks it's gone past reasonable, so we will see.
