In the end, I wouldnt be shocked if those making the decision have found that not guaranteeing seats year to year causes less problems and frustrations with the fanbase and it’s much easier to manage the back office for than having any guaranteed seats carry over year to year. The stadium expansion donor seats have been a nightmare for the ticket office for the last 25-30 years simply because of the guaranteed nature of those seats.

You add to that an increasing general acceptance in many industries and parts of society that value current cash more than years of loyalty (supply and demand based on current demand), and the athletic department certainly has a compelling case to make the decision they did. Again, you also have a compelling case to go up against it, but in my mind the path they chose is a more compelling case for a few reasons including those mentioned in my last post and this one.
