I expected to get a Snopes-style rebuttal saying it was all malarkey. Nope.

This doesn’t target student-admin ratio but faculty-admin. It comes from a Harvard internal publication, and it’s worse than I’d have fathomed (admin outnumber faculty 3:1, and for some reasons you might have guessed).

Tangentially related to student loans in that you get an idea as to why tuition costs are so often exorbitant. Our society pays for this as colleges finance their internal bloat on the backs of students, many of whom walk out with crushing debt and limited financial prospects.
