TFL seems to forget that the MWC of 2023 looks much more like the Big West or
PCAA of 1995 than it does the MWC of 2009. The truth is that there have been very few G5 to P5 moves by individual schools: UU, TCU, BYU, Cincy, Houston, UCF and MANY more FCS to FBS G5 moves. There have been so many such moves that the middle class of the FBS, what used to be the MWC and the AAC, now more than ever resemble the Sun Belt and CUSA.
Teams in the PAC10 should be very careful because without UO/UW, the remaining PAC8 far more resembles the MWC than it does the ACC, let alone the Big12. Oh and let’s not even talk about those curtains at the Huntsman Center…LMBO
