This is what I tell people and other agents about whole life and Universal Life.
Read the actual contract!!
That is where the truth lies. Then I ask them, "if the policy owner sues the company or agent who sold them the contract, what will the judge look at.......they will look at the terms stated in the contract."
Then I rip up an actual contract beyond the first page where it just states the premium and face amount of protection. I've never met anyone who has actually read the contract beyond the first page or two.
