What we saw from Utah 2019 and Oregon last year is that a 1-loss P12 team likely gets into CFP.
I don't think Utah makes it through the schedule without at least 1-2 losses and then the CCG has proven to be a trap for the higher ranked team.
Either way, a strong preseason rank at least puts Utah in a position where they essentially control their own destiny.
