BYU sports fandom is the most addictive substance on the planet. I’m a former…
Mormon and agnostic atheist that has tried to quit BYU sports multiple times since the early 2000’s.
Yet, here I am…a Legacy CC member of nearly 20 years and a regular donor to the Athletic Department.
I’m not the only one, either. There are lots of guys like me. Guys who no longer go to church or even believe in a higher power, but purchase Season tickets to several BYU sports (I have football, men’s hoops, and men’s and women’s volleyball season tickets), and travel to multiple away games every year.
I get it. Though I find a portion of the BYU fan base to be insufferable company, BYU sports fandom gets under your skin, and into your blood in a way that is difficult to describe.
