In the CFP contract. AAC voluntarily ineligible for the G5's NY6 bid.

The AAC is officially and systemically part of the Group of Five in the CFP contract. To disavow the G5 is one move for the AAC to make a real push for the P6 campaign.

Of course, the AAC champion would remain eligible for the NY6 bowl as an at large....like BYU right now.
....but more likely the non-G5 AAC could find a decent bowl for its champion outside of the current NY6 lineup.
