I think the trade up to the lottery to get Mitchell will help show they're still serious about adding talent where they can. And hopefully Lindsey can give Hayward some assurances about how hard Exum is working. Mitchell, Exum, Bradley, Bolomboy, and to some degree Hood give the team a few guys that they can still be hopeful about going forward.

I do think adding Rubio or Beverly would resonate more with Hayward than Teodosic would. Minnesota is trying to clear cap room; not sure what their target is. But with $18 M in cap space, if they could clear Rubio's $14 M w/o taking much (if any) salary back, they'd be in line to offer a max deal to someone. It'd be impressive if Utah could bring Rubio on board with only having to send out Diaw's expiring and maybe a pick or two.
