need to point out a couple of things from your post
"What people don't seem to realize is that a large portion of the MUSS and the Utah fanbase are actually LDS themselves and wouldn't condone that behavior." ===> the acronym ALUF in the original post means Active LDS Ute Fan. We all know that a large portion of the MUSS and the Utah fanbase are actually LDS themselves, but the idea that they "wouldn't condone that behavior" is the rub. Many claim to have been treated poorly and expected LDS Ute fans to "not condone" the behavior, but I for one have yet to witness any one from the Ute side calling out their own idiots in person.

My Mom attended one basketball game with me in my life time before she died. It was a BYU-Utah game in Provo, we sat in front of a large group of Utes. Two of them kept trying to start a chant "F-ing Mormons" (clap, clap, clap-clap-clap). I told them to shut up and they laughed. You could tell several of the Ute fans were uncomfortable and did not participate, but nobody from their side said a word. This was over ten years ago and perhaps today they would have been escorted out of the Marriott Center, but my Mom (who admittedly lived in a bit of a bubble most of her life) spent the entire game very uncomfortable and never attended another game.

I've also gone to the HC and sat behind a Ute players family and had a great experience. I work with a lot of great Ute fans, some are LDS. No one here thinks that civil Ute fans don't exist or that no Ute fans are good people. I think at least the rational posters here (all twelve of them ) also believe that MOST Ute fans are good people. But while I have witnessed plenty of BYU fans calling out stupid BYU fans, I just haven't seen it the other way. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but I think a lot of us are puzzled why it doesn't happen more.

One other point from your post ===> in my opinion, dressing up as Jesus does not strike me as "being respectful of the church", just sayin'
