How good are radiologists at diagnosing diseases?
I know anything they see on a scan needs to be confirmed, but I received an initial impression from a radiologist I don't think is right.
I realize mistakes are made by doctors. They're just people after all, but how often are mistakes made?

They should not be providing any input or impressions to patients

They didn't, but their impressions of my test were on my medical portal.

What did it say and why do you doubt it? The context is important to answer your question.

They report on what the scans show. That’s it.

It's their legal (and moral) obligation to inform patients about urgent, "critical finds" like that.

Is it though? Usually radiology calls a critical finding to the ordering doctor

If a radiologist finds a "critical find," then they have to get ahold of either the patient or ordering doc.
