Utah has never trailed by more than 13 points at any point in any game this season (Arizona and TCU). And if Whittingham had been more willing to kick FGs, UU likely wins 1-2 more games.

As awful as Utah’s offense truly is, their defense has given them a chance in every game. Scoring more than 20 points on Utah is not a given, especially since their front 7 was missing 4-5 key guys who are all back healthy now. They are not only better than any defense BYU has faced thus far in the Big 12 by a healthy margin, but Utah's defense (16th in DFEI) is better than SMU's (19th in DFEI), even though Utah's offense and ST (119th and 64th) are worse than SMU's (32nd and 18th). BYU's O/D/ST FEI rankings are 48th/ 14th/ 8th FWIW.
