For you fisherman, what has been your experience with weather and how good or bad the fishing is? I remember fishing in steady rain on the Green River and got into a really good blue wing olive hatch. Fish were rising in the moderate steady rain, which is interesting, I guess the mayflies were able to dry their wings enough and float on the surface for the fish to key on them.
Several years back I went up to Strawberry while it was snowing and it was pretty dead, caught one fish only. Just the day before a friend was there and was killing it but the bite seemed to turn off like a light switch in 24 hours.
Some buy into barometric pressure and feel it should be steady, but some think fishing can be on fire before a cold front with falling barometric pressure. I guess I don't fish around changing weather often enough to know what is true. Anyway, I'm thinking of getting out for a few hours before the game on Friday after the cold fronts pass, hope it's not dead but if it is, well, that's fishing.
