This would be a better fit than most people would guess. I'm a TTU grad student and BYU alum. There's a temple here and we just got our second stake. Every year 6-12 Cougars graduate from Law, Business, or Medical school here. In fact, the Medical School Dean calls Provo "Far West Texas" because it only trails TTU, UT, and A&M in suppliers of grad students.
Beyond that, it's also a conservative city with Christian and family-friendly people. It would take them a while to get used to it, but I think they'd like a 'rival' that doesn't see them as a little brother.
