“Occam's razor, also known as the principle of parsimony, suggests that when faced with multiple explanations for a phenomenon, the simplest explanation is usually the best”
Whittingham is an actor in the mic and his explanation was his excuse but that doesn’t make the explanation the best or right
Tanuvasa explained the real reason, and is the subject of the circumstance, not Whitt. His simplest explanation was that he felt like he needed to change his circumstances.
If you want to apply Occam’s razor from your point of view and accept Whitt’s explanation, that is your choice and your reasoning, but actually seems a misapplication of the approach — where the explanation is nuanced and not as simple as “follow the money”
Hope this helps.
