BYU fans (CBers) criticism is more often "He just wanted to party"
...which is also not a great look, and my hope would be that BYU fans never go after kids directly for leaving BYU, because as you said, there are lots of reasons for kids to transfer, and 99.9% of us don't have a clue as to what's going on in their lives (and it's stupid to argue that a kid just couldn't handle living the honor code at BYU).
