That depth caused some players to produce less than they could have with a tighter rotation. But I believe it also gave BYU much needed energy and flexibility to beat more athletic teams.
To be great, I believe BYU is going to need to continue to balance bringing in elite talent and developing and keeping role players. These role players (like a Trevin or Trey) may not end up in the NBA but will be vital to establishing and maintaining a strong team culture from year to year. It's going to take a special type of player that wants to be at BYU because they love BYU and not just because they got the biggest bag or the most playing time. I believe it is just as important for BYU to keep guys like Kozlowski and Dallin and Baker to be leaders going into next year and beyond.
