If company borrowed 25B & purchased 25B in assets it hasn't gone up in value
Want to buy my house? If the comps say its worth 500K I will sell it to you for 500K plus you assume the debt. Sound like a good deal?
The value of a business is it's assets minus it's liabilities, or in other words, it's equity. present value of assets might include goodwill which could take into account the present value of expected growth and cash flow.
