…what people see as an attitude problem, or not wanting to be here, could be him feeling disappointed in himself as if he didn’t contribute or deserve credit for the success the team had. Of course we don’t know and we’ve got family members out there upset, but it is possible that’s the reason for how HE has acted.

I’ll add in what I think he should do. Stay, and really study the system and focus on finding a way to have an impact on the court without having the ball in his hands. Then when the system and speed of the college game slows down, and he doesn’t have to think as hard, I think opportunities to score and be an impact WITH the ball will come. This is the exact path Richie has taken. He started out as a hustler who made an impact without the ball and turned into our best player. I hope Catchings can realize that and know it’s a tall task to be an impactful freshman.
