I want him to stay because I think he has tremendous upside. He is a truly gifted athlete and has all of the physical tools to play at the next level.
However....
He lost his starting job to Mag. A tough moderatly gifted basketball player with tons of heart who works incredibly hard.
Catcjhings would have flashes of geatness but more often than not he was a liability on both ends of the floor. But, its not like KY didn't give him every chance to learn and develop on the court. He didn't make the lineu change until early into league play when things were trending downward. And Catchings IMO never took to his role off the bench, and in fact his production (with one notable exception) went downhill.
Kanon is likely gone, but it woudl be nice if he had some gumption, put in the necessary work, and came back next year an improved player. But in the transfer portal era kids don't ahve to stick it out. They can just move somewhere else and start over. I
