I worked a 4 a.m. custodial job at the Smith Fieldhouse my freshman year. We got first crack at tickets before they let everyone in. I had great seats for every game.
Part of my custodial responsibilities was cleaning the visiting team locker room. It was always a mess, sprite cans half full spilled on the floor, orange slices on the floor and walked on, and athletic tape cut off from ankles sticking to the floor. After one game that included a fight and ejected players there was blood everywhere as well.
The most amazing pass I've ever seen was from Jeff Congdon to Dick Nemelka. Congdon was going for a loose ball as it was going out of bounds. Congdon leaps, grabs the ball and whips a no look pass backwards over his head to Nemelka who is streaking down court for a layup. The pass hit him perfectly in stride at about where a 3 point line would be if such things had existed then
