A 6'9" outside shooter is pretty much exactly what we want alongside AJ. Catchings spaces the floor and doesn't need to take the ball out of AJ's hands to be effective (he's not much of a creator, or at least that doesn't seem to be his preferred role). They're both wings, but I see no reason why they couldn't both see the floor, especially in KY's positionless system. And on the defensive side of things, Catchings is best at guarding wings, he just needs to add some pounds so he can be more physical with the larger forwards.

All that being said, I would not be surprised to see Catchings leave, but I don't think it'll be due to a lack of interest on our part. He'd very much fit into our team needs next season.
