Maybe he went to BYU online and stretching the truth a bit?

Not calling this elder a liar but he is also a ute, so...

It's embarrassing but some missionaries do lie. I had a companion that was a compulsive liar. Lied about everything, but the one I remember the most is saying he invented the headset/microphone that's (according to him) used by all A-list singers and entertainers. Talking over people is annoying and rude but in this case I tried to minimize him opening his mouth because he was definitely doing more harm than good, not dissimilar to this ute who's allegedly "slumming it" at BYU.
