Having spent a decade living in the middle east, with more years with
family in west Asia, I have lost count at the number of times I have ridden a camel. The problem is, every time some one wants to visit you, that is something on their list of things they want to do, and you cannot just tell them to go alone.

I will say that if you have a good seat, it is not too bad. Both the 1 and 2 hump camels can be okay. The problem is that many of the tourist places offer short rides turning a quick buck. Their seats are not always the most comfortable.

I have had a few excursions that I have done where we have ventured for days on camel back, and it was not bad when the seat is high quality.
