Maybe I'm just cynical, but I think this reflects what we'd like to believe, not reality. I'm in the Air Force. I love my job and firmly believe the AF is the best service out there. And if the Navy came along tomorrow and offered to increase my salary 50% to work there the next two years, with no loss of other benefits, and doing largely the same job?
You can bet I'd jump. And I'm 90% sure most of us would do the same. If it were my kid, I'd tell them to do the same.
Again, this assumes that development, coaching, facilities are similar at different locations. If it's to go play at Utah Tech, then my number is different, but reality is that most places that are willing to invest that much NIL are also willing to invest into getting quality coaches, infrastructure, nutrition, etc
