What is the point of conference tournaments if they don’t impact seeding.
I’m not an expert, but it’s been suggested that the committee already has seedings determined.
What are these teams even playing for (other than mediocre teams trying to sneak into the tournament)? There are obviously some intangible branding/recruiting benefits to winning the big 12 tournament, but is it really worth risking injuries to your players right before the NCAA tournament if you are already in?
