I’ve been a Monster a day drinker for a while now — occasionally two monsters. I’ve also consumed a solid amount of carbs/sugars each day consistently for a while now.
I decided I better try to drop energy drinks entirely to see if it will help along with reducing my carb/sugars each intake — ideally to around 100 grams a day or less.
I was worried about the caffeine withdrawals that I’ve experienced before like headaches, brain fog, cognitive impairment etc… but for reasons I can’t explain, I really haven’t experienced any withdrawals at all in roughly 10 days of no caffeine. The first few days I did mentally crave a Monster but it has been fading each passing day.
I monitor my sleep with the AutoSleep app and there is clear improvement since dropping caffeine and reducing my carb/sugars each intake.
One thing I’ve learned over the years is there is no one size fits all approach to health and wellness. Some people are very sensitive to caffeine — others can drink a lot and it won’t negatively impact them. Some can eat all the carbs and sugars they want and it won’t impact them much either.
I’ve just found that I must be really sensitive to carbs/sugars and caffeine. I’m hoping after 30 days or so my improvements may inch me closer to dropping my CPAP.
Good luck to my fellow sleep sufferers on here.
