The hope for Van is probably that with the distraction gone and the drama over
that Petterson and others can turn it around. Not ideal for the Canucks when you look at how good they were last year and their hopes for this season, but they didn’t have a choice (well they did, but the choice was between trading Miller or Petterson).
The Rangers? Yeesh I don’t know. Kind of a Hail Mary I guess but Miller is 31 and signed for 5 more seasons after this one at $8M per.
