Again, having to overpay would hurt them worse in my opinion. It would literally cut into profits.
And American teams could simply match again for anyone worth it and it would be a zero sum game that the Canadians would lose.
So cap or not, they are at a disadvantage because of taxes.

100% serious but I’m here to talk to people that would know anyway, so no need for us to talk further.

The two highest revenue teams last year in US dollars were Canadian. The Maple Leafs and the Canadians

The biggest "poverty" franchise resides in the great state of Utah

Isn’t $1M CAD equivalent to like $20 USD?

Canadian taxes hurt Canadian teams. Compared Quebec w/ FL.

Salary cap does negatively impact Canadian teams, however...

That has nothing to do with the salary cap.

Yes it does, indirectly.

Directly, heavier federal corporate income taxes lower their after tax proceeds

Canada, like the US does not tax on revenue and only on income which would be after salaries.

How much clearer do I need to make it that I have no interest in discussing this with you? Move on.

Right, but lots of Canadian revenue is in CAD
TCuz
Jan 31, 12:38pm
It is almost like you would be able to look up their revenue numbers to verify if that were the case....

I don't think that's an issue. I'm pretty sure everything is ultimately measured

Thanks. So Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Calgary are all poverty franchises. Vancouver about average

You are beyond your depth here. Do you not know about the NHL's revenue sharing model?

It’s always been a struggle for Canadian teams to compete

But the Canadian teams have some advantages too.
