Circa Sports released early national title odds (see https://x.com/CircaSports/status/1882181847922421881/photo/1) and I've taken the liberty of organizing them below by conference (at least those with odds of at least +1000000, the linked list goes even beyond that)
The problem is NOT that our top teams are behind the B1G and SEC...that's expected and kind of a given. The real issue comes in comparison of perception to the ACC. The first Big 12 teams to show up are Kansas St and Utah (which is a whole other story - please don't be derailed by that) at +25000, tied for 27th best odds. NINE ACC teams are listed as having those same odds or better.
As much fun as parity is, we absolutely need some teams to stand out as dominant and relevant at the national level. Because it's not just about betting odds for a national title. It's about the ACC being able to get two teams (and almost 3 with Miami) into the playoff and the Big 12 only getting one (and not really being in the mix for another despite a very impressive BYU team)
