We started our kids with gabb at like 10 or 11 then Pinwheel at 13 or so. Both
Worked ok.
My son saved his money and bought an iPhone when he was 15. It's locked down. No internet browsing or social media. Time limits on screen time.
He plays games, texts, calls. No big problems since he's had it but there have been some little things. We check the phone often.
Overall I wish he didn't have an iphone but no big problems yet.
