Would have been very interesting to see how things turned out if the MWC had been able to stay together and that round of realignment hadn't taken place (MWC losing BYU, Utah, and TCU at/around the same time was brutal; significantly weakened the Big XII to loose Nebraska, Colorado, A&M, Missouri).

Funny thing is that today's Big XII reminds me a lot of that era of the MWC (albeit a better version). It's fun to see the "what if" play out in real life.
