Or, you have to approach the man much more slowly in order to get into a position to prevent a dribble drive or otherwise stay in front of him. This takes way longer and usually still results in an open 3.
Players can tell if you are coming fast or coming slow. In both scenarios a good shooter will have a pretty open shot, either shooting before you get there, or letting you fly by first. Probably best to not fly by, but when you're out of position...
I'm more bugged by 2 and 3. Our perimiter players in the zone keep leaving guys open for 3s. If you're on a shooter who passes, don't leave him just to keep the zone rotating. I hate that defense. I'd like to see a practice and see what it is that KY wants out of that.
