If you're totally into the Apple ecosystem, then the Maxes are good. It's nice to seamlessly switch between devices if
you are on a call on your phone but also connected to your macbook, etc.
I still own a 20 year old pair of QC2s. They were a phenomenal purchase and you can't really go wrong with them or the Sony XM5s.
I don't regret my Maxes but I don't love LOVE them. If you're not interested in the intra-Apple benefits, then they probably aren't your best choice.
