It's one of 7 metrics the NCAA selection committee uses. It's good to pay
attention to it. The one flaw may be in looking at KenPom in isolation and ignoring the other metrics (BPI, KPI, SoR, WAB, Torvik, NET). Looking at all those metrics combined puts BYU in the high-40s on an overall ranking sheet, which is right on the edge of the bubble.
