BYU may not have won that game no matter what as well as Houston was shooting but it really should have been closer than a 30 point blow out IMO.
To me, that’s on the coaches. The game plan for Houston and prep for what they do and then making quick, timely adjustments as needed during the game.
Pope showed there is an effective way to attack Houston.
With the talent BYU has, there must be more effective ways to be using that talent to attack whatever any opponent might throw at them. Schemes, game plans, rotations etc.
I love KY and so happy BYU has him and the rest of his staff. I realize it’s a transition going from the NBA to college etc. All part of the learning curve. Just hope they can put it all together this season so they have a chance to make a run in the tournament.
