A good Martin, Taylor, or Takamine is always a good choice. I see a lot of Yamaha acoustic guitars but I have never liked their sound but that is my personal opinion.

Really the best thing you can do is visit a few guitar shops and play the guitars. Get something that is going to sound beautiful and keep you playing and most importantly you like.

Also final tip have a luthier or guitar tech help you setup up your guitar. Often on cheaper guitars the action is way too high and the trust rod is all out of wack. You want it to be easy to play. The more you spend the more time has been put into the fretboard making it easier to play and more of a delight.
