I once had a goal for management but after seeing tons of my creative directors get let go at different places after only a year or two it’s just too high turnover for that position.

Much rather get a senior position and get additional “comfort” income with freelance on the side.

Plus you go from actually doing the work to sitting in meetings talking about the work.
