In 91 i used to snowboard snowbird for free on the towrope hill.
It eventually moved to $20 for a pass. But at that point i had learned enough to move to better runs.
But $2.25 to ride the bus to the resort and free boarding was awesome…unfortunately my grades often suffered because of it 🙁

Do you even want to go right now with the ski patrol strike going on? Half the runs are closed and lines are enormous

Then there are ski rentals, parking, and proper ski gear plus food. The vast majority of Utahns now never ski.
