Forcing everyone to buy Epic or Ikon pass..gym membership strategy
Some will use the pass enough to get to $100 a day most won’t.
They would rather have you think you can get your days in to lower marginal cost. Most won’t.
Plus fake prices. The higher the daily rate the better you feel about buying a pass.
I bought Ikon, almost break even already. However, it is a fake price.
Market hasn’t broken yet, people are paying those prices.

Do you even want to go right now with the ski patrol strike going on? Half the runs are closed and lines are enormous

Then there are ski rentals, parking, and proper ski gear plus food. The vast majority of Utahns now never ski.
