…classman and provide some friggin’ leadership. Look at the Dallin Hall from the win at Kansas last year to the guy we’ve seen this season and in the game today? He provided leadership down the stretch of that Kansas game including hitting a big time shot on that step-back 3 over the outstretched hands of Hunter Dickinson. That guy is missing right now.
We need our seniors and multi-year starters to act like they belong on the floor and lead the team, all game every game. If it’s a tough matchup, difficult environment, whatever, figure it out, scrap, gut it out, get pissed off, commit a few hard fouls, get in some faces and go nose-to-nose with opponents…stop wussing out.
This was always my philosophy as a player, If you’re going to go down, then go down swinging and take a few guys with you. Better than to wuss out and let them do what Providence and Houston did. Make them earn the W.
This is almost the same Houston team we were tied at 68 all with in Provo last year with a minute to go. They punched us in the mouth to open both halves but we fought back. Where’s the fight this year? It’s gotta come from our returning guys.
