Probably since that is where the BYU games are being shown. ESPN+ is a separate streaming service and not included when signing up with a cable package that has the ESPN channels. As I understand it, a person with cable has to add ESPN+ additionally. Although I think there is a bundle deal with Disney and Hulu.

So ESPN+ is available alone for $12/mo and there is a yearly rate a bit better? I think that's right. I don't think ESPN+ has a free trial or anything like that.

I don't know how to get the best deal on ESPN+. So if there is a suggestion on price or deal better than $12/mo let's help the poster out, sounds like he needs help on this.
