The 120v is better than propane and allows more choices. 12v is more efficient
12v fridges are more efficient still on power consumption, but cost a lot more.
If you are going to be running a 120v fridge and boondocking, you have to have a good power plan. Loads of solar/batteries and a solid inverter. 12v being more efficient and not needing to invert your power lessens those worries.
