It's ridiculous that we gave preferences to #3 and #4 ranked teams over the #1
#2 teams in the country.
It's a travesty that #1 Oregon had to play Ohio State and #2 Georgia had to play Notre dame in their first playoff games. Oregon and Georgia should have played ASU and Boise State...and CCG-loser Texas should have played Ohio State while CCG-loser Penn State played Notre Dame.
But, I agree. I have enjoyed the playoff so far...I think we would have seen even more competitive quarterfinals matchups with that simple change...and that structure favors the #1 and #2 ranked teams and top champions - not at large teams that lost their conference championship games.
