They also mention LSU's Heisman in 1957. Nebraska hasn't had much success since bolting to the B10 in 2010.
Not sure what point you're even trying to make. The article's information is valid today, BECAUSE the term 'blue blood' is more about HISTORY and TRADITION than just recent success. It's about Heisman winners, NCs, Hall of Fame coaches and players and long-standing success.
