Convenience and yes they may have better knowledge of hotels and things in the area, but they also may just push you to hotels that give them better commissions.

If you’re a AAA member you can get AAA discounts on most stuff without booking a package through them. Costco has good packages that can be a good deal, but it’s a little less a la carte.
